I have no located anyone who has the dynonometer and, besides, I may be entirely mjistaken about that being what it needs. Anyway, it's too complex for me to do even wth a passenger helping me. Unless I am mistaken about what they did last time, perhaps they no longer have theĭynonometer to run a drive cycle. Now the same dealership indicates that a technician would have to take it out and run the 'drive cycle' but it would cost $200-500 to do so. The same situation occurred two years ago with my former emissions test, but then I think my Hyundai Dealer put it on a dynonometer and I paid about $200 and after that it was ready to be 'inspected'. I had the 1st of two emissions test after just a few weeks before the 1st emissions test. The rejection notice says, the OBDII system is "not ready" as reported by the vehicle's on board computer. If it blinks five times, the readiness monitors are not set.Yes, I think so anyway. If it then goes off, the readiness monitors are set. To check if the readiness codes are set, turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, without starting the engine. This means that your vehicle’s OBD II system is ready and you can proceed to the smog check station.
